Description of Libellula

Libellula is a musical journey where the saxophone becomes the voice of a soundscape in constant transformation. Each composition tells a fragment of this metamorphosis, exploring the dialogue between instruments and the richness of the saxophone’s timbres in their various shades, at times drawing inspiration from Eastern musical elements to weave sounds with distant accents.

A project born from the search for new forms of expression, where the freedom of improvisation meets the discipline of composition. Like a dragonfly, the music lands lightly before taking flight again, carried by the currents of the wind, leaving behind traces of color and motion — between tradition and modernity.

Album Review

“What a magnificent project! Exceptionally refined, with beautiful and engaging compositions,
superbly performed. I am truly impressed by this outstanding achievement. Bravo!”

— Philippe Geiss, Saxophonist, Composer & Professor, Conservatoire de Strasbourg

“Truly an outstanding work — one of the most interesting I’ve heard in recent years. It could be
summed up in four words: talent, quality, instrumental and musical mastery. A journey where sonic
landscapes and musical languages reveal your own truth. I particularly appreciate your inclination
to explore Eastern popular idioms.”

— Mario Marzi, Saxophonist & Professor, Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory, Milan

“Many compliments for the impeccable performance and for the fascinating way of composing.
Truly excellent work — bravo!”

— Marco Gerboni, Saxophonist & Professor at the G. Rossini Conservatory, Pesaro

“A big bravo for the quality of your work and your writing!”

— Christophe Formeau, Saxophonist & Professor, Conservatoire de Strasbourg
